Congrats to Major Mosquito T2 on their Tournament win!
Submitted By Hamilton Cardinals on Monday, May 20, 2019
The Major Mosquito Team 2 won the Kitchener "A" Tournament this weekend; going 5-0...winning BOTH the semis and the finals in Walk Off fashion!

A combined team effort of relentless defence, offence and pitching helped propel the Champions to victory this past weekend!  They won their round robin games in convincing fashion, allowing only 7 runs against and scoring 54 for, mercying 2 of their opponents.

The Cards advanced to the semis on Sunday morning to play the host team, in a tight back and forth game. The semis needed extra innings to determine the winner and with 2 out in the bottom of the 8th with runners on, a single to centre field drove home the winning run.

The Cards advanced to the finals to face their toughest opponent yet…the Halton Hills Eagles. The Eagles got on the board quickly, taking a lead of 6-0 by the bottom of the 2nd; but Hamilton refused to quit, clawing their way back into the game…1 run at a time. The game was tied at 7, heading into the bottom of the 7th inning, but this tenacious young Cardinals team were not done fighting. With 1 out, and runners on, a hard hit ground ball brought home the winning run!

Congrats boys on this great win and keep up the hard work!
