Announcing Our 2018 Winter Instructional Clinics

This Winter the Hamilton Cardinals will be offering three different instructional clinics for players of all skill levels (rep, select and house league)



Cardinals Development Camp (2006-2010 born players) 6:15-7:30pm (Lead: Dean Dicenzo)

Dates:  Wednesdays (January 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21, 28)

Cost: $80  Cap at 14 players

Location:  Helen Detwiler School (320 Brigade Drive, Hamilton)

(Skills:  Focus on throwing, fielding, hitting, base running fundamentals)

  

Hitting (OPEN) 7:45-9:00pm (Lead: Dean Dicenzo)

Dates:  Wednesdays (January 24, 31 February 7, 14, 21, 28)

Cost: $80  Cap at 14 players

Location:  Helen Detwiler School (320 Brigade Drive, Hamilton)

(Skills: hitting fundamentals with emphasis on swing analysis and correction drills)

 

Cardinals Boot Camp (OPEN) 7:45-9:15pm (Lead: Dean Dicenzo with Pitching Instructor Ed Ivy)

Dates:  Tuesdays (January 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27) 

Cost: $80

Location:  Westmount Secondary School Gym (145 Rainbow Dr, Hamilton, ON L8K 4G1)

(Skills:  Footwork, Hitting, Defensive Skills, Mental Approach, Pitching & Catching)

Dean Dicenzo  (Hitting & Pitching)

·         Player and coach in the IBL for The Hamilton Cardinals and the Brantford Red Sox 1980-2000

·         Three-time Intercounty Baseball League All-Star 1982 (2B), 1984 (OF) & 1992 (1B)

·         Led Intercounty Baseball League in stolen bases 1982, 1984 & 1992

·         Retired Second All-Time in hits in Intercounty Baseball League

·         Retired Top Ten in doubles in Intercounty Baseball League

·         Instructor of the Cardinals Baseball School 1989-2012 with 13 participants drafted in the MLB draft

·         Head Coach of the Hamilton AAA OBA Champion 2004, 2005, 2011

·         Head Coach of the Hamilton AAA Major Bantam Eliminations Champion 2006, National Champion 2006

·         OBA Coach of the Year 2006

·         Oklahoma Junior Sunbelt Classic coach for Ontario 2012-2015, Head coach 2014

·         Head Coach, 18U Ontario Terriers

·         NCCP Provincial Coach Certified

 

Ed Ivy (Pitching)

·         former Division I pitcher for North Carolina A&T University. 

·         All State Honorable Mention

·         3 times All-Area

·         twice Regional Semi-finalist

·         twice District Champion

·         played his summer baseball seasons in Michigan's elite leagues: Connie Mack and American Legion
