Paul Kirby was an avid Recreational Sailor. He enjoyed runs across the Lake and took a keen interest in the Ships he saw along the way. My earliest memory of a “Laker” was from Sunday drives to Toronto Harbour to see who was in Port or laid-up for the Winter. My interest in boats can certainly be traced back to those early years. I became a Commercial Diver and grew in an Industry that has defined my life. My Father passed away in 2015. In his memory, I named the Company “Lani”.... the namesake of the boat he decided he should sell in the fall of 1969 when he learned he was starting a family, and I was on the way. -Chris Kirby ×
