Cardinals Announce 2018 Tier II Teams for Minor Mosquito, Major Mosquito, Major Pee Wee... More to Come!
Submitted By John Hashimoto on Friday, September 8, 2017
The Hamilton Cardinals announce that to date, three age divisions will have 2018 Tier II teams:  2018 Minor Mosquito, 2018 Major Mosquito, and 2018 Major Pee Wee.

All three age divisions have met the Cardinals' criteria for developing a Tier II team:

1) high player turnout (45+) with enough rep-quality players to fill both Tier I and Tier II teams

2) coach-candidate(s) willing to take on the responsibilities of a head coach

3) will not impact the Cardinals Association in a negative way (ex. lessen the overall quality of services offered by the Cardinals; devalue the Hamilton Cardinals brand)

Now that those three teams have been confirmed, the Coach and Player Development Committee will continue with Phase II of the process which involves choosing the best Head Coach-candidate to lead each team.  All interested individuals will have an *opportunity (*timeline involved) to apply for each of the three head coach positions.  Ideally, Tier II team tryouts would begin the week of September 18-24.

Increased player registration and player turnout for other age divisions could potentially create more Tier II teams.
